All Created Things

The Dominican Sisters Cabra are part of the Order of Preachers founded by St Dominic. Our spirit is marked by a freedom and respect for each individual and is positive, joyful and celebratory. There is a strong devotion to Jesus Christ and to setting a high value on being human and seeing good in all created things.

Our mission as Dominicans is to seek out truth and beauty wherever they are to be found. We preach the Word of God through our work in the areas of Education, Ecology and Justice. We also engage in pastoral work in the wider community. This work is carried out across our regions in Ireland, South Africa, Portugal, North America (Louisiana), Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil.
