Let us Wait on the Word and Share what is Deep Within Us PDF Print E-mail
So many of us have been blessed in life with a deep love for the Word of God and this is a blessing to be shared.

Let us give time to pondering it in silence, studying it, thus, allowing it to take us over so that we

become far beyond what we are. It involves listening, allowing ourselves to be emptied and waiting with patience.

Denis McBride tells us that "waiting does not mean squandering time but hallowing it. In that time of waiting we are being formed. What God does in us while we wait is as important as what we wait for ... waiting is the process of becoming what God wants us to be."*

Let us claim the Word for ourselves, holding it close to our hearts and lips, allowing it to form our lives and mission. Having waited we can be assured that our way of looking at ourselves, others and life in general will be influenced. The Word will be effective when we or others need it.

The waiting drives us out to mission, which may even take us into areas that surprise us.

Let us not be afraid to share this wonderful gift, which is not just for ourselves - it is given to be passed on, so that others too may discover and experience the wonderful power of the Word, which is love.
