Pentecost: Holy Spirit, Source of Life |

A Reflection for quiet moments
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Love - love without end. Not any sort of love but a love that is tender, concerned, caring, compassionate - a love that is God.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth - a Truth that sees life real and sees it whole. A truth that is wisdom giving balance and meaning to our lives and sees all that happens against the background of Eternity.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Unity - it unites in love the Father and the Son, Christ and us and all of us together into one big family of God.
The Holy Spirit can be likened to a great river of love and goodness, rising on the heights of the Godhead, flowing down through the heart of of Christ and from him into the hearts of all who believe, welling up and out to all around.
Saint Catherine of Siena advises us to keep close to this divine love-source so that we constantly fill
up as we empty and empty as we fill up.
The Holy Spirit can make the world a better place.
