An Tairseach, meaning The Threshold, is the name given to the new Dominican Ecology Project which is now established on the 70 acre Dominican lands beside Wicklow town in Ireland. Threshold suggests a new beginning, a movement away from the destructive aspects of economic globalisation and in particular from chemically based, industrialised agriculture towards a more sustainable way of living.The project has three aspects:

1. An Organic Farm
2. Wild-life habitats
3. An educational programme
