Who are Dominican Associates?
Dominican Associates are like-minded lay men and women from across our regions who are drawn to and live out the charism and continue the mission of the Dominican Congregation which is to praise, to bless, and to preach.
Associates do not take vows, but rather make a commitment to be partners with vowed members, and strive to extend the Dominican presence across their own lives and with their families and in their churches, workplaces, neighbourhoods and cities. Whether working as teachers, in industry, in the community or in the home, they preach the Good News through the voices of their work, their art, and their lives.
Associates meet regularly, accompanied by a Sister in their various communities and through prayer and discussion support each other and share the common goal of how to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. They pray, study, share their faith and socialise so that they can enhance their relationship with God, God’s people and the whole universe.
