A handbook “Making Human Rights Work for People Living in Extreme Poverty” was launched on December 8th. The aims of the Handbook:
- To promote understanding of the human rights implications of people living n poverty.
- To suggest actions that can be taken to ensure that their rights are both respected and protected.
- To spell out how community-level workers can help local authorities implement their obligations.
The handbook can be downloaded at www.atdireland.ie/wp/handbook/
It has been translated into three different languages – English, Spanish and French.
