Candlelight Vigil in memory of the Carrickmines Tragedy: 7pm Dáil Eireann
In memory of the 10 people and one unborn child, Willy Lynch, Tara Gilbert her daughter Jodie and their daughter Kelsey; Thomas and Sylvia Connors and their children Jim, Christy and six-month old Mary and Jimmy Lynch a candlelight vigil for those lives lost at the Glenamuck Road halting site, Carrickmines, Dublin on 10th October 2015 and their bereaved families will be held outside Dáil Eireann at 7pm on Monday October 10th 2016.
Given the huge outpouring of grief and anger after the Carrickmines fire we know that many people wish to mark the first anniversary and once again join in solidarity with the families and their loss. This vigil is being jointly coordinated by The National Traveller Women’s Forum, Pavee Point Traveller Centre, Minceirs Whidden, The Irish Traveller Movement and Exchange House Ireland.
