Reflections from Summer Course “Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor” from Chaos to Hope
“Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor” from Chaos to Hope
One week on from attending this Course, I am filled and nourished by all that I heard and experienced of Sharon, John and the many different people I encountered over meals, rituals, workshop, walks and social gatherings during the four very full, stimulating days in Emmaus. I think and feel that I have been ‘lured’ into entering new and wider understanding of Divine Mystery by being invited to encounter the interconnectedness of all that is and has been in creation through 13 plus billion years. It is mind-blowing but also wonderful to be invited to enter into new limitless horizons of knowing, into beauty I knew nothing about, and into new discovery of the bounty, ingenuity and brilliance of God. From my own small life experience I know deeply that out of chaos something new is born, but I never thought before of the implications of chaos for the evolution of the universe. I find myself walking gently on the earth, in awe.
